PPT to PDF

The interactive tool loads here. JavaScript is required to use its controls; the instructions below are available without it.

Create a PDF copy of a PowerPoint presentation for handouts or sharing. This tool accepts one PPT, PPTX or ODP file and uploads it to our conversion server. The PDF contains static pages, so keep the original deck for presenting animations and media.

How to convert PowerPoint to PDF

  1. Open the presentation in your editor. Check slide size, text wrapping and content near slide edges, then save the deck.
  2. Choose or drop one PPT, PPTX or ODP file above. Review the displayed upload limit.
  3. Wait for the conversion service to connect. Select Convert & download to upload the presentation and create the PDF.
  4. Open the PDF and review its page count, slide order, images, symbols and smallest text before sharing it.

Static slides, animations and speaker notes

PDF export does not preserve timed animations, transitions or playable embedded media as a slideshow. Use the original presentation when those are part of your message. An animated chart may need a separate static summary slide for the PDF version.

This tool has no controls for speaker notes, handout layouts or selecting slides. Prepare the deck in its authoring application when you need a particular export layout, and inspect which content appears in the PDF.

Review fonts and slide dimensions

LibreOffice may substitute fonts or render charts and embedded objects differently. A substituted font can move a bullet onto another line or push text outside a box. Check diagrams, equations and slide edges carefully.

For a widescreen training deck, compare a few dense slides at normal reading size. If text is too small in the PDF, increase it in the original deck. Changing the output format does not make a crowded slide easier to read.

File size, privacy and connection delays

The hosted upload limit is currently 5 MB; the tool shows its configured limit. Large photographs and embedded video often make decks exceed it. Create a smaller copy in your editor while keeping the original presentation.

Selecting Convert & download sends your file to the conversion server. Temporary files follow the file retention policy. The service may take longer after inactivity or be busy; keep the file selected and retry after a pause if needed. Use a local export if you cannot upload the deck.

Frequently asked questions

Are both PPT and PPTX supported?

Yes. The picker accepts PPT, PPTX and ODP presentations. Conversion still depends on the document being readable by the server.

Will animations and videos work in the PDF?

No. This export is for static pages. Share the original deck when the audience needs slideshow effects or embedded media.

Why did my slide layout change?

Fonts, charts or embedded objects may render differently in LibreOffice. Review the output, simplify affected elements or export with the original presentation application.

Is the presentation converted on my device?

No. This operation uploads the presentation to our server. Read the privacy and retention policies before converting private material.
