Export a spreadsheet as PDF pages for reading, printing or sharing. Choose one XLS, XLSX, ODS or CSV file. This tool uploads the spreadsheet to our conversion server; prepare its print layout before you convert.
How to convert Excel to PDF
- Open the spreadsheet in your editor. Set the print area, paper size, orientation and scaling, then check print preview.
- Save the file and choose it above. Accepted formats are XLS, XLSX, ODS and CSV, one file at a time.
- Check the displayed upload limit and wait for the service to connect. Select Convert & download to send the file for conversion.
- Review every PDF page, including column headings, clipped cells, totals and any unexpected blank pages.
Keep wide sheets readable
The converter uses the workbook settings as interpreted by LibreOffice. This page has no print-area or scaling editor. Change those settings in the source spreadsheet if the PDF has too many pages or columns are cut off.
For a wide monthly report, try landscape orientation and a defined print area. Fitting all columns to one page can make text too small, so compare readability with allowing several pages. Check each sheet you intend to share.
What happens to cells, formulas and CSV files?
A PDF shows rendered pages rather than an editable workbook. Recipients cannot recalculate formulas, filter cells or use spreadsheet controls in the exported copy. Keep the workbook for those tasks.
Charts, formulas, linked data and advanced formatting can behave differently in LibreOffice. Verify important values after export. CSV does not store workbook formatting or print settings; if its columns import incorrectly, open it in a spreadsheet editor and save an XLSX with the intended layout first.
Uploads, privacy and service limits
Conversion sends the spreadsheet to our server. The hosted upload limit is currently 5 MB; the tool displays the configured limit. Remove unnecessary embedded images or export a smaller source file if it is too large.
Temporary files are handled under the file retention policy. The service can take longer after inactivity or when busy. Wait for completion, or retry after a pause if an error appears. Do not upload data you are not permitted to send to a hosted service.
Frequently asked questions
Why are columns split across PDF pages?
The sheet is wider than the printable area at the current scale. Adjust print area, orientation and scaling in your spreadsheet editor, save it and convert again.
Can I choose a worksheet on this page?
There is no sheet-selection control here. Prepare the source workbook and its print settings to include the content you want, then inspect the resulting PDF.
Can I convert CSV to PDF?
Yes, CSV is accepted. Because CSV has no saved page layout and import settings can vary, an XLSX prepared in a spreadsheet editor can give you more control.
Does conversion keep the spreadsheet editable?
No. The PDF contains rendered pages. Keep the XLSX or other source file when you need formulas, filters and editable cells.
