Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 20-Sep-2026
Welcome to ClassicConverter ("we", "our", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you use our website, utilities, tools, and services.
Information We Process
Files and User Content
Some tools require users to upload files, provide content, or enter information for conversion, processing, invoice creation, or other utility features.
Uploaded files and provided information are processed only to perform the requested operation. Depending on the tool, processing may occur entirely in your browser or temporarily on our servers.
Files and temporary processing data may be temporarily stored during processing and are automatically removed according to our file retention practices.
Please avoid uploading highly sensitive, confidential, or regulated information unless necessary.
Personal Information
ClassicConverter does not require account registration. Files, certificate details, signing details, or support messages you choose to send may contain personal information and are processed for the requested service. Invoice information saved by the browser tools remains in browser storage unless you choose to export or share it.
Technical Information
Limited technical information may be automatically processed by infrastructure providers, hosting providers, and security systems to maintain service reliability, prevent abuse, improve performance, and protect services.
This information may include:
- Server request logs
- Browser and device metadata
- Security and abuse prevention information
- Temporary processing metadata
- Error and diagnostic information
- Performance metrics
How Files Are Processed
Many tools operate entirely within your browser and keep files on your device.
Some tools require server-side processing due to technical requirements, file complexity, or processing limitations.
Server-side processing may use technologies including:
- LibreOffice
- qpdf
- Internal conversion services
Files uploaded for server-side processing are used only to complete the requested operation.
On classicconverter.com, document conversions and PDF operations marked as server processing send the selected files to our hosted conversion service. PDF encryption and decryption also send the passwords needed for the requested operation. These operations do not run solely on your device.
Digital Certificates and Signatures
Loading and inspecting a PKCS#12 certificate sends the .p12 or .pfx file, which may contain a private key, and its password to our conversion service. Signing sends the certificate, its password, the PDF, and any signing details you enter. Only use certificates you are authorized to use and permitted to send to a hosted service. Signature verification uploads the PDF to inspect its signed bytes; it does not establish certificate trust or revocation status.
Selected certificates and passwords are held in the current browser session while the tool is open. They are not saved by the tool to browser local storage. Reloading or leaving the tool clears its session state; this does not erase files you keep on your device.
Saved Browser Data
Theme preferences and recently used tool names are saved in browser local storage. The invoice tools also save business settings, invoices, and draft information in your browser so you can return to them. This browser data is separate from temporary server files and is not covered by the server cleanup schedule. Delete saved invoices in the tool or clear site data in your browser to remove local records. Downloaded files remain on your device until you delete them.
Third Party Services
Some features rely on third-party services, APIs, infrastructure providers, or content delivery networks.
Currency Conversion
Currency conversion tools may connect to external exchange-rate providers when actively used.
OCR Features
OCR functionality may load external resources or models when OCR tools are enabled.
Fonts
Fonts, icons, or static assets may be loaded from external providers for website functionality.
Hosting and Network Requests
Cloudflare serves the website and Render hosts the conversion service. We use Google Fonts for the application typography. Requests to these providers may include your IP address and normal browser request information. The SSL checker sends the hostname you enter to our conversion service, which connects to that host to inspect its public certificate.
Advertising
Advertising is currently disabled. We are preparing one Google AdSense placement below the content on public tool pages and selected guide articles. Private invoice workspaces, legal pages, navigation-only directories and error pages are excluded. Ad requests made by our integration do not include uploaded files, entered text, passwords, certificate details or invoice records. When enabled, Google advertising code will run in the same browser document as eligible tools; this is not an isolated private workspace.
When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites. Google advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to serve ads based on those visits. Ad services may also process IP addresses, browser or device information, and identifiers, or use web beacons to deliver and measure advertising.

You can manage or opt out of Google personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings.
You can also opt out of personalized advertising from participating third-party vendors through the Digital Advertising Alliance’s WebChoices service.
Advertising choices do not necessarily remove all ads. Available choices can depend on your location, browser, and device. Clearing cookies or using another browser may require you to make those choices again. Before advertising is enabled, we will configure the applicable consent messages and a way to revisit your choices; browser settings alone are not a substitute for those controls.
Cookies
Cookies and similar technologies may be used for:
- Site functionality
- Security and abuse prevention
- User preferences
- Performance optimization
- Advertising and its measurement, when enabled and subject to applicable choices
You may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
Data Retention
Uploaded files and temporary processing data are retained only as long as required to complete processing, maintain service stability, or recover from temporary failures.
Temporary files are automatically removed according to our retention practices.
Please refer to our File Retention Policy for additional details.
Security
We implement reasonable technical, operational, and security measures to protect services, temporary data, and uploaded files.
However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.
External Services and Infrastructure
Infrastructure providers, hosting providers, CDNs, security services, and external APIs may process limited technical information as part of normal website operations.
Abuse Prevention
We may process limited technical information and usage signals to detect abuse, malicious activity, excessive automated traffic, fraud, or misuse of services.
Children's Privacy
ClassicConverter is not intended for children under 13 years of age.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Changes become effective once published on this page.
