Correct sideways or upside-down PDF pages and save a new copy. Rotate the whole document or only selected pages by 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise or 180°. The tool changes page rotation in your browser without rendering the pages as images.
How to rotate PDF pages
- Choose one PDF and wait for the page preview. Keep a copy of the original.
- Choose All pages or Selected pages only. For a selection, click thumbnails or enter page numbers and ranges such as 2, 4-6.
- Choose the turn direction: 90° clockwise, 180° or 90° counter-clockwise.
- Select Rotate & download. Open the downloaded copy in a PDF viewer and check both the rotated and untouched pages.
Rotate only the pages that need it
For a five-page scan where pages 2 and 4 are upside down, choose Selected pages only, enter 2, 4 and choose 180°. The other three pages keep their existing orientation.
The chosen turn is added to each selected page’s current rotation. If a page already has 90° rotation and you add another 90° clockwise, its stored rotation becomes 180°. Rotating the PDF viewer alone may not save a correction; this tool downloads a changed copy.
What rotation changes
Rotation changes page orientation while retaining the existing page content rather than replacing it with a JPEG. It does not crop margins, resize the underlying page or edit text and pictures separately.
Only quarter-turns and half-turns are supported. This is not a deskew tool for scans tilted by a few degrees. If different pages need different directions, make one pass for each group and inspect the intermediate copies.
Privacy, encryption and signatures
Rotation runs on your device without uploading your PDF to the conversion API. Large files may need more memory than your browser has available. Keep the tab open until the download is ready.
The exporter needs an unencrypted PDF. Entering a password for the preview does not remove encryption for export. Use an authorized unlocked copy; the separate decryption tool sends files to the server.
Saving a rotated copy rewrites the PDF and does not preserve a valid digital signature. Retain the signed original when verification matters. Review forms and annotations in the output if your document contains them.
Frequently asked questions
Can I rotate just one page?
Yes. Choose Selected pages only and select that thumbnail or enter its physical page number, starting at 1.
Will all selected pages turn the same way?
Yes. One export applies the chosen direction to all selected pages. Use another pass if a different group needs a different turn.
Does rotation reduce image quality?
This operation changes page rotation instead of re-rendering the content, so it does not apply JPEG compression to the page images.
Can I straighten a slightly tilted scan?
No. Available rotations are 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise and 180°. Use an image or scan editor for small-angle deskewing.
