Image Converter

The interactive tool loads here. JavaScript is required to use its controls; the instructions below are available without it.

Compress a browser-readable image or combine JPEG and PNG pictures into a PDF. Image processing runs on your device, which avoids uploading photos to the conversion service. Keep the original when choosing a smaller, lossy output.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose Compress for one image, or Images to PDF for multiple JPEG or PNG files.
  2. For compression, select a quality preset and Same, JPEG or WebP output. For a PDF, choose page size, fit and margins.
  3. Run the operation, download the result, and check small text, transparency and page boundaries.

How to interpret the result

Re-encoding an already optimized image can make it larger. Browser format support varies. JPEG cannot preserve transparency, and a picture placed in a PDF is still a picture rather than editable document text.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the new image larger?

Compression depends on the source format, quality and pixel dimensions. Compare the reported size and downloaded result; keep your original if the new encode offers no useful saving.
